Hackathon Projects πŸ—οΈ

Things built at hackathons, usually in 24–36 hours:

  • Navcare β€” Shift route optimizer for Personal Support Workers, designed to cut daily time lost commuting between client visits. Top 12 Finalist at Hack the North.
  • Knit β€” Video calling app that connects older adults with each other to form new friendships. Moderated, intentional social connection. 3rd-place sponsor prize at Hack the North.
  • WaitingRoom β€” Real-time ER wait-time and journey tracker, so you know what you’re actually waiting for.
  • Water Wheel β€” A water sensor system to help people track and improve daily hydration.
  • Tora β€” App that connects grassroots activists with newcomers to movements, designed to reduce misinformation and lower the barrier to getting involved.

Curiosities πŸ’

Things I think about a lot:

  • Design for older adults and facilitation of intergenerational knowledge transfer
  • Sustainable work-life balance
  • Anti hyper-attention society building
  • How to build a more sustainable tech society
  • How to build sustainable and welcoming multidisciplinary creator environments
